非常出名的日本南部鉄器，所造的鑄鐵可比美於法國的Le Creuset / Staub，所以南部鉄器的價錢也相當昂貴。現介紹這款南部鉄玉，SIZE細細，價錢比較便宜，日本人用來煮食時一拼使用，以補充鐵質。有貧血問題的朋友，可參考這個日本人的補鐵方法。鉄玉經煮沸後溶出的鐵質可讓人體直接吸收，最常用是煲水、烚菜、煲湯時使用。

建議使用方法:
-放入飯煲內一起煮
-跟茄子一起煮，讓茄子的顏色變得更靚，不啞色
-跟黑豆一起煮，黑豆會變得更有光澤
-和貝殼類食品一起浸水，可加快貝殼類吐沙的速度
-放進花瓶內，可延長花朵的盛開時間
-鐵玉會釋放二價鐵離子 飲食中加入以補充鐵粉 可於煮飯/煮開水加入 可去除水中鈉離子/異味 請勿使用於微波爐 初期使用時會有鐵鏽味皆屬正常現象※
-使用前後請清洗乾淨避免生銹，可放在水壺及鍋內煮沸以補充鐵質。

保養鐵玉方法：
-使用後，請小心撈出鐵玉，以免燙傷
-清洗過後，抹乾，包好並存放在密閉的容器內 (只要減少鐵玉接觸空氣，便很難生銹)
-如生銹了，可用鋼絲刷，把生銹的部分磨掉
-如鐵玉變色成黑色，可把鐵玉浸在醋內，變回原來的鐵色
